It is with great honour and pleasure that we welcome you to the 2016 edition of Sheffield Model United Nations. We have worked enthusiastically to make this year’s SheffMUN a true reflection of the spirit, as well as aspirations of students here in Sheffield for a better future for everyone in the world. Following this intention, our theme for will be “Reaching 10 Billion: Demands, Dangers and Debates”. With a growing population comes a greater demand for resources, such as energy, fresh water, food and housing. At this edition of SheffMUN 2016, get ready to solve issues, mediate conflicts and think of innovative ways to meet the demands of a growing population. SheffMUN has grown a reputation for excellent chairing, interesting topics, quality debate and fantastic socials. This year’s conference will follow that tradition.

Warwick MUN 2017
Distinguished delegates and honourable chairs, it is our pleasure to invite to Warwick University for the 10th edition of Warwick Model United Nations on January 13th, 2017. Our conference has grown and improved during these 10 years of existence, and for this anniversary edition, we are going to make it a memorable event! Our conference will be focusing on “Peace in the Middle East”. The fundamental objective of the United Nations is ‘peace-making’ and ‘peace-keeping’ under the charter, and some of the issues at hand include settlements, terrorism, boundary violations and statehood.
We are really excited to see how expertly you will handle these sensitive topics, and for you to come discover our proficient chairing and bond-making social events!

MUNICE
The MUNICE association is organizing the very first edition of the Nice Model European Union, which will be held from the 21st to the 23rd of October 2016 in the very heart of the French Riviera! Five committees will be simulated. The Council of the EU, the European Parliament and the Press Team will be held in English, The European Council and the European Court of Human Rights will be simulated in French.

The fourth edition of MUNICE will be held from the 8th of the 11th of June 2017 under the sun of the beautiful city of Nice. Four days of heated debates and amazing socials will be waiting for you! Ten committees including a large crisis committee will be featured. They will be announced as soon as decided upon by the Board members.
Chair applications for MUNICE 2017 will open on the 15th of October 2016. They will be followed by the delegates and journalists registrations. Stay tuned!
